It's been a while
But I still sometimes feel the pain.
My wounds are still raw
And my heart is still in vain.

No this isn't a love story
For my love stories have been better
This love of a friend just seems to hurt
The friendship couldn't have been shorter.

There is a craving to re-create those memories,
